Mexico announces its roster for August 15 friendly

The USMNT is expected to announce its roster on Sunday/this weekend, but Mexico has named its 18-man roster for next Wednesday’s friendly.

Goalkeepers: Guillermo Ochoa (Ajaccio), Alfredo Talavera (Toluca).

Defenders: Francisco Javier Rodriguez (Stuttgart), Hector Moreno (Espanyol), Severo Meza (Monterrey), Hugo Ayala (Tigres), Jorge Torres Nilo (Tigres), Enrique Perez (Morelia), Adrian Aldrete (Club America).

Midfielders: Jesus Zavala (Monterrey), Manuel Viniegra (Tigres), Edgar Gerardo Lugo (Santos Laguna), Pablo Barrera (Cruz Azul), Andres Guardado (Valencia), Angel Reyna (Monterrey).

Forwards: Elias Hernandez (Tigres), Aldo de Nigris (Monterrey), Javier Hernandez (Manchester United).

    De la Torre is not holding back for this one. Guess he wants a good tune-up before more qualifying games next month.

    Quite a few green players in that roster. And by green I am implying that some of the players don’t have a lot of minutes playing for Mexico.

    Should be interesting to see who Klinsmann calls in.

    If JK calls in the A squad, meaning bradley, jones, altidore, dempsey, ream, howard, donovan, boyd, gomez etc we would have a good chance of beating this Mexican team. JK should call up all the good players so we can make history in the azteca and all of mexico for finally beating them there, and this will give the players more confidence once the qualifiers start.
