A nice summer night for some links

If you like folky/rock music, I highly suggest The Lumineers.  I have been listening to them most of tonight while setting up this link post.  Moving on to the links.

I tweeted this last night, but various sources across the internet have Stoke City and Houston Dynamo agreeing on a $2.7 million price tag for Geoff Cameron.  It is now up to MLS to make the final decision on the move.

While it was being reported that Stuart Holden was back in England doing light training with Bolton last week, Owen Coyle told the press today that he has given Holden permission to stay in the United State to continue to slowly get back to full health.  Between the added games in the Championship and his past issues with the knee, probably a smart decision to take his time and make sure everything is back before taking the field.

Former Ipswich Town goalkeeper Cody Cropper is on trial with Southampton.  He apparently played with their U-21 team on Tuesday.

Charlie Davies played the second half in Randers’ preseason friendly against Skive on Sunday.

For now, Clint Dempsey is still with Fulham.  They start their preseason friendlies this Saturday against Brad Rusin and HB Køge.  They will also play Andrew Wooten and Kaiserslautern during their preseason.  Fulham is also suppose to show off their new home kits later this week.

And speaking of the Dempsey-to-Liverpool rumors, which I am not fully buying into, Liverpool’s Director of Communications, Jen Chang, claimed that the image going around on Twitter of Liverpool’s online roster showing Dempsey’s name that was taken down was a photoshop/fake.  It is the silly season.

Here is a Google-translated article about Hertha Berlin’s Alfredo Morales and Anthony Brooks.  OT also gets a little love in the article.

And here is a Google-translated interview with Rapid Vienna’s Terrence Boyd.

Finally, here is a trailer for a documentary about Bob Bradley’s time in Egypt.  I don’t know much about it other than this trailer.

  1. Steve Trittschuh says:

2.7 mil for Cameron – I’d say Stoke got a very good deal.

  2. Trent Hill says:

Stoke did get a good deal. And so did Cameron–playing for Stoke will be a big step up for him, but I think he’s capable.

Oh, and not to mention it’s great for the USMNT.

  3. jd says:

Not too sure this was a good google translation in the Terrance Boyd interview:
I will just make me a name I want to talk about in 50 years, Terrence Boyd and says:…. “That was a really horny striker “

  4. SOG says:

Bunker Bob’s documentary looks amazing. I can’t wait to see the entire documentary.
