A few things for Monday afternoon
July 9, 2012 (2:53 PM) by Matt Benson     Email This Post Email This Post

Work and errands are getting in the way today, but here are few things.

Brian Sciaretta has the latest on the Michael Bradley to Roma watch.  This suddenly feels like the world’s longest transfer.

Mike Grella has officially signed with Scunthorpe United.

Anton Peterlin is going on trial at Scottish Premier League side Hearts.

Frank Simek recently did a radio interview over in England.

Carlos Bocanegra is returning to Rangers later this week to talk to the manager.

This article in the Brimingham Mail reports that Paul Lambert will give Brad Guzan a chance to compete with Shay Given for the starting goalkeeper job at Aston Villa.

And finally, Julian Green, a 17-year-old German-American at Bayern Munich, was promoted to the U-19 team for this upcoming season.

  1. Trent Hill says:

Guzan is a great keeper. But he’ll be competing against one of the most underrated keepers in the EPL.

When Given eventually retires, Guzan will have a solid spot.

Peterlin going to Hearts isn’t a bad move.
