Where shall we begin?

Stuart Holden has begun light training with Bolton this week.

EPL Talk has the Premier League TV schedule for the first couple months of the season for those of us living in the US.

Bryan Gerzicich has officially re-signed with Israeli Premier League champions Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona.

Sebastian Lletget was recently interviewed by West Ham’s website about training with the first team this preseason.

Both Alfredo Morales and Anthony Brooks have been receiving playing time with Hertha Berlin’s first team this preseason.  Morales played in eight league games with the first team last season, but Brooks was actually demoted from the U-23 team to the U-19 team at the end of last season.  Both should hopefully get a chance at first team playing time with Hertha Berlin in the 2. Bundesliga this year.

Timothy Chandler had an assist in Nurnberg’s latest preseason friendly against Eintracht Bamberg.

Parker Walsh is training with German 2. Bundesliga club Energie Cottbus this week.

A good day for a couple Americans on Finnish side Kemi Kings yesterday.  Christian Eissele recorded a hat trick, while Daniel Stevens scored a brace in Kemi Kings’ 5-0 victory over HauPa.

Former US U-17/U-20 winger Brendan King has signed with League of Ireland Premier Division club Bray Wanderers.  King was taken in the second round of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft by Portland.

Central defender Mike Jones has signed with Danish First Division side FC Hjørring.  Jones was drafted in the 2011 Supplemental Draft by Sporting Kansas City before landing on New York and appearing in two games last season.

And finally, this video is awesome.

I will forever hate QPR for that day.

  2. Trent Hill says:

Excited about the American in League of Ireland. More young americans should be going there.

  3. William says:

Are there really that many City fans in America?

  4. Gregory says:

Timmy Chandler needs to be capped in September for the Jamaica matches. You can’t blame Chandler for trying to play for Germany, but hopefully he faces the fact he isn’t on Germany’s radar. (Lahm, Schweinsteiger, & Mertesacker are the only Defenders and Midfielders over 25 on the Euro roster)

USMNT can be a completely different team with Chandler on the right wing and Fabian on the left.

  5. Piaggio says:

@Gregory, I’d rather they just forget about Chandler. I prefer Lichaj on the right to be honest. He may not be as good, but he’s a very solid player nonetheless (and I’m pretty sure he actually wants to play for the US).

  6. Kyle says:

    Davies to Randers FC

  7. Gregory says:

    @Piaggio

I’m as high on Lichaj as Chandler, and we need both. Chandler played RM and even a little attacking RW last year at Nuremberg. I like to see Lichaj and Chandler together on the right flank.

Put yourself in Chandler’s shoes, you can’t blame him for wanting to play for the country he grew up in; not to mention they are considered a top contender every World Cup.

I wish the USMNT had the depth to tell Chandler to kick rocks, but they need Chandler’s versatility way to much.
