A few links for Wednesday night

In the FIFA world rankings don’t mean anything department, the US has fallen from 27 to 29 despite not playing last month.  Mexico also moved up from 22 to 20.

Remember that US-Mexico legends match I talked about last week?  Here are the full rosters for both teams.  I just want Jorge Campos to wear some obnoxious goalie shirt.  And a 2-0 final score.

Here is a video interview with Brad Friedel about Tottenham’s Champions League hopes.

Speaking of goalkeepers, Greg Seltzer recently talked to Steve Clark.  Hønefoss and Clark have started their season with three draws, including two clean sheets.

Brian Sciaretta has an interview up with Leo Krupnik about Maccabi Netanya battling for a Europa League spot.

Sciaretta also introduces us to 20-year-old FC Copenhagen midfielder Thomas Delaney.  Delaney is eligible to get a US passport and even had Caleb Porter call him earlier this year, but all signs point to Delaney staying with Denmark, at least in my opinion.

Steven Goff breaks down Clint Dempsey/Jozy Altidore/Herculez Gomez’s scoring runs.  They have combined for 57 goals in 117 appearances in 2011-12, which is amazing, but then you compare that to Messi (61 goals in 47 appearances).  Messi is on another planet.
