Friday night updates
March 9, 2012 (10:48 PM) by Matt Benson     Email This Post Email This Post

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last 48 hours or so.  It is a crazy weekend at work plus my internet took a full dump in the last 24 hours, so I haven’t had time (or functioning internet when I have had time) to do much.

Some quick things.

* Tim Howard signed a new contract with Everton until 2015-16.

* Fulham and Clint Dempsey have begun discussions over a new deal.

* Andrew Wooten made an appearance on Kaiserslautern’s first team bench today, but did not get into the game.

* Matthew Wagner of Yanks Abroad talks to Samir Badr about Egypt.

* And the guys at Yanks Abroad take another guess at the final Olympic Team.

I will try to get highlights up this weekend, but there might be a delay here and there as work continues to be crazy this weekend with Selection Sunday.

Matt likes soccer. He likes sleeping in. He is also amused easily. That is pretty much it.

  1. William says:

We don’t need Boca or Goodson damnit. We need the u23 to be the freaking u23. This gets my blood boiling. With all due respect to Boca and Goodson, I’ll take Opara and Kitchen at CB. And if you want an overage player take Ream and Cameron (two guys that need to play together because they’re the near future at CB).

Other than Bocanegra (who I HIGHLY doubt Porter will pick) and Goodson I like the squad they picked out.

That is a squad that can seriously compete for a medal!
