A lot of injuries in the last 48 hours which will affect the US roster for Wednesday’s friendly. I am guessing Klinsmann will add a player or two to the roster.
* As Howie reported yesterday, Jermaine Jones is out with a calf injury.
* Timothy Chandler picked up a gluteal muscle strain and will be out the next 2-3 weeks.
* Jose Torres picked up an injury on Saturday night and is likely out for this week’s game.
* And Italy finally announced their roster for Wednesday’s game. No Mario Balotelli.
***UPDATE***
* Grant Wahl is reporting that Landon Donovan has the flu and might be out for this week’s game as well. Well crap.
***UPDATE #2***
US Soccer has officially announced that Torres, Donovan and Chandler are out and that Brek Shea and Sacha Kljestan have been added to the roster. And further roster additions may be made Monday afternoon.

Well damn… who is going to play left back now :S
Add Landon to the guys missing list per Grant Wahl
Why isn’t Mario Balotelli on the roster?? That sh cray!
So we have like 5 starters missing? (Onyewu, chandler, jones, torres, and donovan) so heres my new starting lineup
Howard
dolo goodson boc FABIAN JOHNSON
danny williams
bradley shea
dempsey
altidore buddle?
I’d like to see klins add another striker in place of buddle, not like buddles rubish but altidore and buddle are too similar, like an agudelo, or charlie davies or even that starikov kid whose owned by zenit.
Also id like to see kljesten get a run off the bench.
I can understand calling in Boyd over the U-23 team (Klinsmann’s first look at him in training), but Shea better end up playing if you are taking him away from the U-23 camp for this.
I predict he’ll call in ricardo clark
I’d bet Shea will play. The u-23′s will have a tough time replacing him.
I’ll be so mad if he called in Clark and just Clark.
Call in Herculez Gomez and Whitbread for cover.
USMNT have reached a point in it’s history. Two bundesliga starters get hurt and can be replaced by budesliga starters. The USMNT has depth. At least at RB/CDM.
Gregory–agreed.
