OT Player of the Week

Howie’s Pick – Jozy Altidore (AZ Alkmaar – Dutch Eredivisie)

After a scoreless October that saw him briefly benched, Jozy Altidore celebrated his 22nd birthday (hard to believe he’s that young still) with another goal in AZ’s 3-0 win over ADO Den Haag.

Matt’s Pick – Dominic Cervi (Greenock Morton – Scottish First Division)

I really wanted to pick Jozy this week, but I have to give Dominic Cervi some love.  Celtic sent him out on loan to get some playing time and he finally got to play and picked up a clean sheet in the process.

Matt likes soccer. He likes sleeping in. He is also amused easily. That is pretty much it.

I’m happy for Cervi. Hopefully he’ll come back from that loan and play for Celtic in some meaningful way eventually. Am I the only Celtic fan that wishes they had three Americans like Rangers?
