This and that for Tuesday
November 1, 2011 (10:09 PM) by Matt Benson     Email This Post Email This Post

I know some people have been asking for an injury update on Zak Whitbread, myself included, but it looks like he is getting closer to returning to the field.  There was a chance for him to play in today’s reserve squad match, but manager Paul Lambert decided to hold off on letting him play.

Brian Sciaretta takes his guess at the USMNT roster for the upcoming November friendlies right here.  He also makes a case for Michael Parkhurst right here.

Speaking of those “friendlies”, Slovenia threw the first punch.  It’s on Slovenia.  It’s on.

Soccer America has an interview up with new U-18 head coach Richie Williams.

For those of you interested in the third round draw of the German Cup, you can find the games right here.

According to Örebro SK’s website, Jonathan Borrajo is training with the club this week.  Borrajo currently plays for Ham-Kam in the Norwegian Adeccoligaen.

And this has nothing to do with US Soccer or American players, but Bordeaux’s new stadium looks like it could be ridiculous.

Slovenia is going down! ‘MERICA. Even if JK is stupid enough to let Michael Orozco, Beckerman, and Ream back on the field again we’re beating them. Hopefully he won’t though.
