(Doesn’t the 90s conceptual nickname sound much more exotic in French?)
One of our favorite globe trekkers here at OT is Jeremiah White. I could recap his career myself, but the brief profile here regarding his trial for the MLS club does a much better job:
Jeremiah White, Striker, U.S., 29. He played six games with the first division club Al-Saudi Ettifaq in 2010 and three games with GKS Belchatow, Poland in the first division. He also played with OFK Beograd (Serbia), Panserraikos (Greece), FC Gueugnon (France) and AGF Aarhus (Denmark). He played one game with the national team of the United States, during a friendly against Sweden in 2008.
They somewhat gloss over the fact that White was rather good with AGF (seven goals in eighty-six league matches, earned a call-up to Camp Cupcake 2008). The run in Denmark along with some success in Ligue 2 says that he should be more competitive in this trial than he was with Philadelphia (Montreal finished 7th of 8 in the North American Soccer League and has a young, unproven coach instead of veteran Pitor Nowak).
