With the US U-20 roster coming out earlier this week, Brian Sciaretta talked to Anthony Brooks to find out more about the left-footed central defender (a new candidate for First Great American Left Back!?). And a day later, he signed a new four-year deal with Hertha Berlin.
While doing The OT Report I had noticed that the American duo, Rhett Bernstein and Kyle Helton, at Mjondalen had not been playing much as of late. And now we know why thanks to Jaime Hill. Bernstein played the season opener, but has since torn his ACL and will be out for a while. As for Helton, he picked up a thigh injury and will hopefully return to playing in game action in two weeks.
John Godfrey passes out grades for various Americans playing overseas right here and here.
I missed this last week, but US Soccer has a Q&A with Edson Buddle about his time in Germany.
And finally, US Soccer has announced the U-18 roster for the annual Lisbon International Tournament, which takes place at the end of this month.
