Here are some links worth checking out before the weekend. I am finally able to post them as my internet finally decided to start working again. Thanks Time Warner Cable.
The biggest news of the day has to be that Benny Feilhaber is headed back to the United States to play in the MLS. It looks like Chivas USA is the first team with a shot to sign him (Chivas USA is first on the MLS allocation ranking).
Greg Seltzer caught up with Edson Buddle earlier this week to talk about his time in Germany so far. When he first made the move to Germany, I was sort of unsure on how I felt about the move, but I now think it is a decent move for him at this point in his career. Hopefully he can help Ingolstadt fight off relegation and he can start next season from scratch with a preseason with the club.
Georgina Turner of SI.com talked to Jonathan Spector about his up and down season at West Ham United this year.
Former St. Patrick’s Athletic winger Ryan Guy is now trialing with FC Dallas. He has had an unsuccessful trials so far with the Portland Timbers and Chivas USA since returning to the US.
Here is a story from a newspaper in Georgia about some 15-year-old American named Daniel Johnson who is currently with West Ham United’s youth academy.
Jon Levy takes a look at what has happened to Michael Bradley over the past couple months. As I tweeted the other night, is it time to panic yet on his lack of playing time at Aston Villa?
And finally, I am headed to San Diego for most of this weekend, so don’t expect too many highlights or The OT Report to be posted until Sunday evening. Howie will man the site and will post if anything major happens (and you get a double dose of this next weekend when I go on vacation).
Enjoy the weekend.
