Lee Nguyen Released From Hoang Anh Gia Lai
February 22, 2010 (5:07 PM) by Matt Benson     Email This Post Email This Post

Looks like Lee Nguyen has had a falling out with his V-League team Hoang Anh Gia Lai and was released this weekend.

Right before the National Cup game between Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) and GDT Long An, HAGL board has come to a decision to terminate the contract of American-Vietnamese star Lee Nguyen. The reason is believed to be the contradiction between Lee Nguyen and HAGL’s new head coach Kiatisuk Senamuang.

According to his dad, he will be returning to the US while looking for a new club.

This Is American Soccer had a good look into Nguyen’s decision to head back to Vietnam over playing the MLS last month, so check that out as well.
