USF defender Brendan Hines-Ike has signed with Örebro SK

Been a quiet time and with Matt gone we missed this news last week— South Florida defender Brendan Hines-Ike has signed a deal in Sweden. It’s a four-year deal, although it doesn’t say how much (if any) is guaranteed.

A Denver native, Hines-Ike spent three years at Creighton before transferring to USF this year. He was named to the Missouri Valley Conference all-freshman team, was second-team All-Big East as a sophomore, and was unanimous first-team All-American Athletic as a senior. Örebro was 9th in the Allsvenskan last season; long-time readers might remember it as the one-time club of Alejandro Bedoya.

Howie once received a death threat at a USA-Brazil friendly. He still believes in Fred Adu. He plays forward in coed rec, although not well.
