Report – Sebastian Lletget to sign with LA Galaxy
May 6, 2015 (3:21 PM) by Matt Benson     Email This Post Email This Post

While we already have one young US player leaving England likely for a return to the US, it looks like we are going to have a second with Sebastian Lletget.  According to Ives Galarcep, the 22-year-old midfielder is going to sign with the LA Galaxy.

The Galaxy are set to sign former U.S. youth national team midfielder and long-time West Ham United prospect Sebastian Lletget, sources have confirmed to Goal USA. The 22-year-old central midfielder is heading to the Galaxy on a free transfer after parting ways with West Ham.

According to sources, the Galaxy will be sending an undisclosed amount of allocation money (believed to be in the $50,000 range) to the New England Revolution after the Revs put in a discovery claim on Lletget ahead of the Galaxy, who had been in talks with Lletget for months.

And there is also this.

Some of you might remember that Lletget was rumored with a move to LA back in March but his agent shot down those rumors.

Lletget has spent the last five years at West Ham United, getting a lot of time with their various youth teams but could never break into the first team aside from an FA Cup appearance in 2013-14.  Maybe a move to LA with some playing time can jump start his national team career again as it looks like his last appearance with any US team was with the U-23 team in February of 2012.
