Goals from the last couple of days
August 7, 2014 (1:36 AM) by Matt Benson     Email This Post Email This Post

Of course the weekend that I am gone has 12 goals scored by various Americans throughout Europe.  Here are some GIFs of the ones that have video evidence of the goal.  For the full list of goals, check out our goal tracker.

Matt Taylor opened up the 2014-15 season with a fun goal in Saarbrücken’s 2-2 draw to Homburg in German Regionalliga action on Friday.  He also scored a goal in the team’s second game, a 2-1 win over Freiburg II on Tuesday, but there are no highlights of that game just yet.

Coming off a 10-goal season in 2013-14, Marc Heider scored his first goal this season in Holstein Kiel’s 2-2 draw to Joe Gyau and Borussia Dortmund II over the weekend in German 3. Liga action.

Fabian Hurzeler is another player who has scored two goals in the last week.  The GIF below comes from Saturday’s 3-1 win by Hoffenhim II over Hessen Kassel.  He also scored in a 4-1 win over on Zweibrücken on Tuesday but the Sudwest highlight show hasn’t come online for the mid-week games yet.

Over in Sweden, Andrew Stadler scored his 10th goal of the season on Saturday in Landskrona’s 3-2 loss to Alex Horwath and Ljungskile.

On Sunday and over in Finland, Lawrence Smith scored his fifth goal of the season in GBK’s 3-0 win over OLS.

And also on Sunday, Jordan Seabrook scored his fourth goal of the season in VPS’s 3-1 loss to Lahti.
