Brek Shea played the entire second half in Stoke City’s 1-1 draw to Borussia Monchengladbach this weekend.  Someone actually put the entire second half up on Youtube, so here you go.

  1. CP says:

    If Brek Shea gets significant playing time at Stoke City this year, there is no reason he can’t beat out Zusi for one of the midfield/wing spots…

    especially with Zusi staying in the MLS… :-)

  2. Dirk says:

    For what it’s worth, the word at Stoke City message boards is that Brek put in a good half of football, to the shock of Stoke City supporters who had pretty much written him off.

  3. doctor phil says:

    A Stoke fan on FB who was at the game said he had a steady game and was fit and was getting stuck in. I hope for the best.

  4. Jerry says:

    @CP

    I really hope that comment is in jest, because neither would have any effect on the other.

    Shea’s only real competition for a starting spot on the USMNT is Green (and F. Johnson). Otherwise we have no legit starting LW/LM threats to challenge him. It is the only reason that in spite of his shenanigans he was still in the USMNT almost to the very end.
