In case you have been kidnapped Taken-style over the last 48 hours, the US kicked off the Send-Off Series with a 2-0 win over Azerbaijan on Tuesday.  Here are some highlights and some photos from the game. Here is also a short video on the game and Chris Wondolowski from the San Jose Earthquakes Youtube channel.  Clint Dempsey was a late scratch with a groin issue, but it is not serious and he will only miss one or two days.

This Landon Donovan shirt is awesome.  And this song might be the only country song I like.  Jimmy Conrad/KICKTV have their latest Group G video up and this time Jimmy is in Ghana.  I want to have a beer with Jimmy at some point in my life.

As I posted yesterday, reports out of England have Tim Ream agreeing to a new three-year deal with Bolton.

Edgar Castillo is leaving Tijuana for fellow Liga MX side Atlas.

We posted Brad Evans’ comments about being cut from the USMNT and now Clarence Goodson is speaking out about the process.  And he doesn’t seem like he is happy.

Greg Selzter is hearing that Timothy Chandler is drawing some interest from Eintracht Frankfurt and Stuttgart.

Stoke’s The Sentinel is reporting that Hannover 96 might be going after Juan Agudelo.

Michael Farfan appears not to be in Cruz Azul’s future plans after some recent changes at the club.

Zak Whitbread is in contract talks with Derby County.  Whitbread finished last season with the Rams after being sent on loan from Leicester City.

Former US U-20er Villyan Bijev was released by Liverpool last week.

The Fighting Bob Bradleys advanced to the fourth round of the Norwegian Cup this week after defeating Grorud 3-0.

We have had a bunch of goals scored in the last two weeks in Iceland and Finland so go check out our goal tracker to stay up to date.

And finally, a reminder to sign up for MLS’s Brazil Bracket Challenge and join our league.

These guys that got cut need to shut up…they sound like middle school kids.

    Go Bob Bradley!

  2. Jeffrey says:

Is it to early to start talking about the Champions League glory Stabeak are going to achieve next year when they crush Real Madrid and Bayern Munich?

  3. William says:

Hopefully Bob Bradley will get to take over a Championship side in the coming years
