The CONCACAF and CONMEBOL press conference is scheduled for later today with all signs pointing towards the announcement of Copa America Centenario taking place in the US.  Brian Sciaretta typed some words on what this would mean for US Soccer.

It looks like Aron Johannsson will miss AZ Alkmaar’s final regular season game this weekend with a small ankle injury as he rests up for the playoffs.

Julian Green is slowly getting back to full training as he was doing some running and gymnastic drills this week.

I bet everyone has been waiting to see what Jermaine Jones’ new tattoo looks like in action, so here you go.

Some reports out of Germany have Stuttgart eying Timothy Chandler.  I am guessing Chandler would probably look for a move if Nurnberg were relegated (currently sitting in an automatic relegation spot with two games left).

Hertha Berlin’s website has an interview up with John Brooks.

ESPN’s John Palmer talked to Geoff Cameron recently for a little Q&A action.  Cameron thinks his best position is either defensive midfielder or center back.

Danny Williams missed this past weekend’s game for Reading with his lingering knee issue, but the club is hopeful that he will return this upcoming weekend.

Jonathan Spector is another player who has missed some time due to injury recently, but he returned to action in Birmingham City’s 1-0 loss to Wigan on Tuesday.

I forget whether I posted this in the last week or not, but Yanks Abroad’s Brendan Wimberly talked to Patrick Hopkins as the Swedish Superettan is now underway for 2014.

And finally, resident goalkeeper guru Will decided to rank the Top 10 USMNT goalkeeper performances over on his site.

  1. William says:

Copa America in the US would be awesome! Surely Dallas will get some big games!!!

  2. Ian says:

Williams playing time seems to have a pattern: one game on, one game off, one game on ect ect. I really hope they aren’t compounding the injury by forcing him in the line-up.
