Thursday morning linkage
December 5, 2013 (12:42 AM) by Matt Benson     Email This Post Email This Post

The World Cup draw is on Friday (ESPN2’s coverage begins at 11:30 AM Eastern) and US Soccer has a quick little guide on how the process will work.  I have a feeling the US will be put in a tough group.  Ric Flair, your thoughts on this.

US Soccer put up a video of Jurgen Klinsmann reviewing 2013.  It was a pretty pretty good year if you ask me.

US Soccer has also teamed up with Nike to show off some pretty cool photos of the USMNT going through the Hex.

Mix Diskerud visited some schools in Jersey City to promote soccer.  Here is a video and a photo gallery of his trip.

Alejandro Bedoya scored a pretty bitchin’ goal the other day.  He also led the team in a post-game chant.

Brian Sciaretta gives us an injury update on Fabian Johnson’s ankle.  Here is also a Google-translated interview with Johnson.

Sticking with German-to-English translated articles/interviws, here is a two-pager about Julian Green.

In the who-knows-if-this-has-any-legs department, Valencia might be interested in Juan Agudelo.

Goal.com’s Paddy Higgs recently spoke to Joe Gyau.  Sounds like Gyau wants to stay in Germany if possible.

In case you missed it earlier this week, Will got an interview with Washington Husky goalkeeper Spencer Richey, so go check that out.

In other words…Julian Green will never be capped for the USMNT. Welp, time to say goodbye to another Rossi.

  2. Trent Hill says:

Im guessing Green is going to get a shot at the German national team, unfortunately. That’s a shame, it seems like we were so close.

I too feel like we might get a really tough group. Hope not.

  3. CP says:

I’m taking off tomorrow to watch the draw. Can’t wait!

  4. Jaime says:

Listen I rather have a less skill player that is committed than one that is not.. If he in his heart wants to play for Germany then be it… If we are going to win the World Cup wipe have to produce more than just a player with Green’s talents…

  5. samsminiarmy.wordpress.com says:

Did you guys see where they are holding the draw? Paid for, I’m sure, with the money they got from the Qatar bribe money!!!!
