A quick recap of Monday before the links.
Brad Guzan and Aston Villa had to come back from a 2-0 deficit to get a point in a 2-2 draw to West Brom. Brad was happy.
Michael Bradley came off the bench and played nine minutes in Roma’s 0-0 draw to Cagliari.
Bobby Wood also came off the bench in 1860 Munich’s 1-0 win over Greuther Fürth.
Here are some field-level highlights of the US’s 1-0 loss to Austria.
The US U-20 team finished their November camp with a 4-1 win over Atalanta Primavera last week. Josh Deaver takes a look at a couple of players from the camp as Tab Ramos’ first roster takes shape.
Geoff Cameron made ESPN FC’s Premier League Team of the Week.
Maurice Edu put in a 59 minute shift with Stoke City’s reserve team as they lost, 6-2, to Bolton’s reserves on Monday.
Greg Seltzer decided to put together his top five uncapped players currently playing overseas. I think Zak Whitbread got injured just for being mentioned on this list.
Robbie Keane wants Ireland to call in Mike Magee. I still thought he should have been called in for the Gold Cup. He is not flashy by any means (nor do I see him as a long term USMNT player), but he always finds ways to put himself in great positions. If Alan Gordon can get a call in, so should Magee.
A couple more MLS goalkeepers are already over in England training. Bill Hamid is with West Bromwich Albion for a week, while Ryan Meara began training with Charlton Athletic on Monday.
A report out of Norway links Bob Bradley as a possibility for the manager job at Stabæk.
Two current USMNT players are working on their broadcasting chops this week. Tim Howard will return to the booth for NBCSN to call this weekend’s Tottenham-Manchester United match. And Landon Donovan will be bouncing around the Fox Lot this week to work on Fox Soccer Daily, Fox’s Champions League coverage and Fox Sports Live.
If you missed Will’s interview with Alan Mayer, go read it now. It is sort of long, but has tons of fun goodies about an American trying to play professional soccer in the 1970s.
And since I love GIFs, here is Sad Timbers fan being sad.

Matt likes soccer. He likes sleeping in. He is also amused easily. That is pretty much it.
