End of the week linkage

A few links for your Friday morning reading pleasure.

We had a couple of goals on Thursday.  Aron Johannsson scored in his fifth consecutive game for AZ, a 3-1 win in Europa League (highlights).  And a pair of Americans, Seth Rudolph and Andrew Stadler, both scored in Sandviken’s 3-2 win in the Swedish Cup (highlights).

We also had a Freddy Adu sighting on Thursday.  He came off the bench and played 25 minutes in Bahia’s 2-1 win over Portuguesa in Copa Sudamericana action.

A day after Landon Donovan told Fox Soccer Daily that he has received some interest from Europe, he tells TWC Sportsnet that he hopes to return to the Galaxy.

Jozy Altidore has his latest blog entry up over at ESPN FC.

Not really earth shattering, but Fabian Johnson wants “to achieve great things” this year at Hoffenheim.

This was sort of rumored on Twitter during the US-Bosnia game, but there is a good chance we could see these two teams playing each other in a World Cup tune-up in St. Louis in 2014.

Here is a German report from earlier this week on Bobby Wood returning to 1860 Munich after earning his first cap with the USMNT.

If you know German, here is a short video interview with Andrew Wooten.  Since I don’t know German, I am just going to pretend that he is talking about how Triumph is his favorite Wu Tang Clan song.

Greg Seltzer gives us a couple goodies on Terrence Boyd’s potential suitors.

Mathew Wagner caught up with Zarek Valentin to talk about his season in Norway.

Donovan trying to scare galaxy into shelling out?

  2. Trent Hill says:

Any player would be wise to mention other offers if he’s looking to resign to a bigger contract. I hope he goes abroad, though.
