Bursaspor vs. Gaziantepspor Highlights
   February 22, 2013 (1:27 PM) by Matt

Maurice Edu got the start, but had to leave in the 80th minute after picking up his second yellow card in a 2-1 loss.  He received his first for a hand ball (2:43 mark) then got a second a few minutes later (3:30 mark).

    That’s annoying. Mo has been doing pretty good, getting playing time, and sharpening his game. He has added quality to the midfield in the absence of N’Diaye. Missing next week will not favor his game, he is a player that needs consistency and his play seems to suffer whenever he misses a week or two.

  2. Trent Hill says:

    David nails it. Mo has been playing himself back into the USMNT setup though.

  3. Dirk says:

    I’m glad he is getting first team action in Turkey, but why does he always seem to play with 2 left feet with the USMNT? If he can play in Turkey with Bursa that is FAR better for his career than what he was seeing at Rangers other than the occasional Champions League group play fixture. Should make him a better player but Edu’s ceiling really isn’t much higher than what it is. He’d be lucky to get regular time at Stoke no matter how well he plays in Turkey, especially if Geoff Cameron gets more time in the midfield.

  4. Gregory says:

    @Dirk
    Edu is a victim of the 4 CDM syndrome when playing for the USMNT.
    Edu and the other midfielders would look better if they had real attacking midfielders or wingers to feed the ball to and hold possesion.
