A day after the USMNT back line looked disorganized and Timothy Chandler struggled a bit at the right back position, we learn that Steve Cherundolo had arthroscopic knee surgery after missing three games with Hannover 96.
“The [arthroscopic] knee surgery was made yesterday in Hannover,” Hannover spokesman Alex Jacob told YA. “We hope to have Stevie back in the trainings-sessions of the team in hopefully two or three weeks. He will definitely miss the matches in the UEFA Europa League against Anji Machatchkala from Russia.”
This probably makes him questionable for next month’s qualifiers against Costa Rica and Mexico.

Chandler struggled “a bit”? I hope we never see him struggle more than that.
Chandler seems to be the scapegoat for the loss He looked bad out there, but Dolo would have looked just as bad in that jungle.
Fans would be demanding Chandler return his US passport if he was involved in the 2nd goal, which Cameron or Gonzo could have stopped. I hope fans realize past performances vs Guatemala and AB mean almost nothing.
