It was an odd assignment for Cameron. Not only did he start in midfield but at times was playing very far forward and not even close to a d-mid role. He didn’t play badly but nothing spectacular either. Podolski’s free kick for the only goal of the match did deflect off him.
along with what rich said and what i was hearing from other people on here, cameron not involved in process too much as Stoke, away from home against superior opposition and featuring Peter Crouch, opted to play a little more ‘directly’.
