USMNT fans have been waiting for the location of the first home qualifier of the Hex for a while and US Soccer just announced that it will be in Denver at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Actually, it is Commerce City, but basically Denver.
The US will get to train and play at a location with a high altitude in preparation for the US-Mexico match four days later at Azteca.
Also, as Jon points out, it probably will be cold.
Thoughts on the location?

Cold is a relative term. The forecast for Sunday here is 21/-2.
It has been “cold” out here in LA recently.

Good pick!
Cold is definitely relative. It’s 40 degrees here right now and people think that’s FREEZING.
Hmmm… My guess is this has more to do with the altitude than the temperature.
Training/playing in the high altitude locale in the March 22nd game should theoretically help us prepare for the trip to Azteca four days later, yah?
