Mikkel Diskerud is reportedly close to re-signing with Rosenborg

Mikkel Diskerud, out of contract with Rosenborg, is reportedly close to re-signing with the Troll Kids.

Via our friend Google Translate:

-We communicate very well with Paul (Diskerud, father and agent to Mix), and will have new talks this week. We hope this is okay with it first, says Erik Hoftun, which denies that it may be ready as early as this week.

Diskerud joined Rosenborg at the midway point of the season and scored twice in seventeen appearances in all competitions as Rosenborg finished 3rd in the Tippeligaen for the second consecutive year (they also finished 3rd in their Europa League group) after a failed loan move to Gent in Belgium.

Diskerud was reportedly close to a move to join the Portland Timbers, but he will apparently opt to stay in Europe instead.

  1. Trent Hill says:

Staying in Europe is the right call. Rosenborg is a good club for his development too.

  2. William says:

MLS is better than Tippaligaen. Can’t imagine a crowd in Norway having a better atmosphere than in Portland either.

  3. Cam says:

I never understand the “this league is better than that league” arguments in these cases…

Would somebody rather play at Wigan or Bayern Munich, QPR or Shalke?

you can argue whether the EPL or Bundesliga is better overall but those arguments are irrelevant when you start talking about specific teams…my point is Rosenborg is a far better club than Portland
