Bryan Meredith, recently released by Seattle, has signed with IK Brage of the Superettan (2nd division).
Meredith was a 2nd-round SuperDraft pick out of Monmouth by the Sounders in 2011. After failing to make the team, he played with the PDL’s Kitsap Pumas and was eventually signed by Seattle. He made ten starts and two sub appearances in MLS matches in 2012, and he finished the year with a 1.27 goals against average and three shutouts. (He was credited with a 3-3-5 record, although goalkeeper wins are a terrible statistic.) He had a career-high five saves in a 2-0 win over FC Dallas in May.
Brage is located in Borlänge, a city of 40,000, and is named after the Norse god of poetry.
