December 20, 2012 (12:04 PM) by Howie Michaels     Email This Post Email This Post

Former Louisville midfielder Paolo DelPiccolo, who had six assists last year (giving him a school-record 23 for his career) while garnering All-Big East honors and helping the Cardinals go 14-6-1 before losing in the Elite Eight, will skip the MLS combine in favor of a trial with Eintracht Frankfurt.

His trial will last from January 7 through 19.

DelPiccolo is ranked as the #24 draft prospect by Ives.

DelPiccolo has played for the U-18 national team at the 2009 Milk Cup.

Howie once received a death threat at a USA-Brazil friendly. He still believes in Fred Adu. He plays forward in coed rec, although not well.
