American goalkeeper Tyrel Lacey might have found a new home after his former club, Norwegian side FC Lyn Oslo, disbanded after declaring for bankruptcy last month.
The 24-year-old goalie has popped up in Poland this week training for Polonia Warszawa.
Club manager Daniel Purzycki has told journalists that a decision on singing a contract with Lacey will be taken after a legal expertise is drafted on procedural matters.
Lacey would replace Polonia’s Number One goalkeeper Arkadiusz Onyszko, who has had to stay away from the pitch for many months due to serious kidney trouble.
Polonia Warszawa plays in the Ekstraklasa, the top of the Polish league system, and is the oldest club in Warsaw (founded in 1911). Polonia Warszawa also made it to the third qualifying round of last year’s Europa League before getting knocked out by NAC Breda.
