A couple links for Friday
February 20, 2015 (8:38 AM) by Matt Benson

Some last minute links before the weekend.

The US away jersey for 2015 came out earlier this week so a bunch of us got together and selected our three favorite USMNT jerseys of all-time.

This past week had a bunch of games and Roderick has you covered on all the goals in Copa MX and a couple Americans in Europa League.

Speaking of Copa MX, I missed this goal on Tuesday, but Sonny Guadarrama scored a goal in Atlante’s 1-1 draw to Toluca (highlights).

Tim Howard was one of those players in Europa League on Thursday and he earned his 21st career win in a UEFA cup competition (Champions League/Europa League), giving him on more than Brad Friedel for the most by any American goalkeeeper.

According to some reports, Julian Green had his meeting with Hamburg manager Josef Zinnbauer and director Peter Knäbel.  He apparently apologized for refusing to play with the U-23s and he is back with the first team.  Group hug time.

Vice Sports also recently wrote some words on Green.

Vice Sports also has a story up on Borussia Dortmund II manager and former USMNT player David Wagner.

According to reports out of Germany, Jurgen Klinsmann has been recruiting/talking to Hamburg fullback Ashton Götz.

Speaking of Götz, he is one of a few players on Brian Sciaretta’s recent list of potential dual-nationals who are out there.

And finally, Tom Marshall talked to Jonathan Bornstein about looking to rebound this season at Queretaro.

Atlante vs. Toluca Highlights
February 20, 2015 (7:37 AM) by Matt Benson

I missed this goal during the week until Roderick’s The OT Report for the midweek games, but we had another goal in Copa MX action this week.  Sonny Guadarrama went the full 90 minutes and scored a goal in Atlante’s 1-1 draw to Toluca.  Here are some highlights with Guadarrama’s goal coming at the 0:16 mark.
