A few things for Tuesday.
Brian Sciaretta talked to Tab Ramos recently about the U-20 team with their camp talking place in Portland right now. Of the biggest news, at least in my opinion, it is starting to look like West Ham United left back Danny Potts might not be eligible to play for the US after all. Boo.
As for some more injury updates. FC Nordsjaelland doesn’t think Michael Parkhurst’s broken toe will be a long-term issue. I guess he has been playing with it the last couple weeks and they just want to give him some rest.
Zak Whitbread has missed Norwich City’s last three games with a calf issue.
And as expected, Robbie Rogers will likely miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
Two Americans saw the field today. Frank Simek went the full 90 minutes in Carlisle United’s 1-0 loss to Stevenage. And Neal Kitson was credited with an own goal in Northampton Town’s 3-1 loss to Crawley Town.
Speaking of Kitson, Brendan Wimberly has an interview with the goalkeeper up at Yanks Abroad.
Arch Bell, writing for ESPN.com, talked to Claudio Reyna about his vision for US Soccer.
