Some transfer gossip and other news
December 15, 2010 (10:41 PM) by Matt Benson

I always like to point this out before getting into the whole transfer rumors, but 95% of transfer rumors found online are usually wrong.  To quote Anchorman:  “They’ve done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.”

Now lets get into some fun before some other news.

Medio Tiempo via Soccer365 claim that Mexican side Cruz Azul is the “mystery” Mexican team that is interested in Benny Feilhaber.

Brian Lewis of the NY Post is reporting that Atletico Madrid is interested in Juan Agudelo and Brek Shea.

Some rumors have popped up in England this week that Fulham could be joining Everton in the Landon Donovan loan sweepstakes.

Gale Agbossoumonde told Franco Panizo over at Soccer by Ives that he should be going out on loan to Swedish side Djurgardens IF in the January transfer window.

Goalkeeper Chris Konopka claims he is still in the mix for a roster spot with Jagiellonia Bialystok of Poland.  The team is on its winter break, but he has been invited back in January for some more training and a couple of their friendlies before they start their season back up in February.

The Zygo Soccer Report has some news that youngster Jeff Attinella is on trial at União Desportiva de Leiria of Portugal’s Primeira Liga.

As for some news.

The US U-18 team opened up their four-team tournament in Tel Aviv with a 3-0 loss to France.

Stuart Holden talks to the Bolton News about his game-winning goal against Blackburn from this weekend.

Charlie Davies claims that he is fully healed from his horrible accident from over a year ago and ready for some action on the field.

And finally, the USMNT ended 2010 ranked number 18 in the latest FIFA World Rankings, moving up six spots from last month.
